A candlelight vigil and prayer will be held in Edison in the wake of the Orlando attack.
EDISON -- The American Muslim Council and American Muslims for Democracy will host a candlelight vigil Wednesday night to remember the 49 people killed and the more than 50 people injured in the recent attack by a lone gunman at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
The vigil will be held at 1050 King George Road, in Edison. More than 500 people are expected to attend, including various local and state officials.
The organizations will hold a news conference to condemn the attacks while expressing their condolences and their support for the families and the victims of the LGBT community.
