A West Milford man must serve 60 months in prison and 5 years of supervised release for receiving child porn on his computer.
NEWARK -- A West Milford man was sentenced Monday to 5 years in federal prison for receiving sexually explicit images of children on his computer, authorities said.
Thomas Bachalis, 32, was also ordered as part of the sentence to five years of supervised release, U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman said in a news release.
Bachalis pleaded guilty on March 14 to receipt of child pornography on March 14.
Bachalis admitted that in August 2013 he was a member of a publicly available peer-to-peer file sharing network on the internet, which he used to receive the sexually explicit images involving children, according to court records.
