A man has been charged for allegedly threatening "to destroy" a police department's headquarters.
PERTH AMBOY -- A 30-year-old man was arrested Monday after allegedly posting a threat on social media "to destroy the Perth Amboy police headquarters," according to a statement from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
Rolando Medina was charged with cyber harassment after authorities discovered the post on social media. The statement did not specify which social media platform he used to post the threat.
Medina was held at a facility on $2,500 bail, the statement said. However, officials did not indicate to which facility he was taken. Medina must undergo a psychiatric evaluation before he can be released on bail, according to the prosecutor's office.
