The New Jersey State Police were assisting Sayreville police with a report of a jumper down.
SAYREVILLE -- Marine units with the New Jersey State Police recovered a body in the Raritan River below Victory Bridge Sunday morning, police said.
Sgt. Jeff Flynn, a State Police spokesman, said the agency's Marine Unit was assisting Sayreville police with a report of a jumper down when they discovered the body.
The Sayreville Police Department is handling the investigation. Flynn said additional information would have to come from Sayreville police.
An officer who answered the phone Sunday morning said more information would be available on Monday.
