Venue includes capacity for 500 guests in its ballroom and 400 guests in its patio.
FRANKLIN -- Tucked in an unassuming location off JFK Boulevard in Somerset is the county's newest wedding venue, The Marigold, a facility complete with a grand staircase and the latest in LED lighting and banquet hall amenities.
The venue opened last month and has already hosted six weddings. It's also available for corporate conferences and other events.
In addition to its crystal chandelier and white marble floor, there are plans to add built-in waterfall walls on each side of the grand staircase, said Tony Tarabocchia, director of sales and marketing for The Marigold.
The banquet hall features a square-shaped, main ballroom with three crystal chandeliers, which can be changed to eight different colors, said Tarabocchia. The Marigold also has an outside patio for wedding ceremonies with a capacity for 400 guests. It includes two waterfalls, a pond and a gazebo.
"We're pleased to see such a beautiful venue in Somerset County for those looking to plan a special event or meeting," said Jackie Morales, director of tourism for Somerset County. "This venue is among the largest in the county. It's very appealing because only a few venues in the county can accommodate such large numbers.
"Somerset has become a popular destination for spectacular weddings and this venue certainly helps to fill that need."
