It's not known how many News 12 Connecticut employees will be affected by new Cablevision owner Altice's decision to shutter its Norwalk headquarters, according to StamfordAdvocate.com.

"A small number" of reporters, photographers and support personnel will stay in Connecticut, the report said.

News 12 Connecticut will start being produced at News 12 New Jersey's Raritan Center Parkway headquarters no later than March.

In August, Altice announced plans to lay off 600 workers in Connecticut as it closes a call center in Shelton and an office in Stratford.

Netherlands-based Altice bought Cablevision in June for $17.7 billion. It runs the Optimum internet, TV and phone services in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.
