PERTH AMBOY -- A water main break closed a portion of New Brunswick Avenue Monday afternoon, police said.
The stretch of road between Baker Place and Groom Street was closed for construction around midday and was slated to be reopened at 4 p.m., Perth Amboy police said in an alert.
It was unknown if the water main break affected any nearby residents or businesses. The city's water department could not be reached for further details.
