Frank Polera, 30, was arrested and charged with murder Sunday in the death of his mother, Patricia Polera.
OLD BRIDGE -- A township man has been charged with killing his 61-year-old mother over Thanksgiving weekend in the Old Bridge house they shared, according to authorities.
Police were called to the Kirschman Drive house Saturday just after 8:45 p.m. where officers found Patricia Polera dead, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey said in a release.
Frank Polera, 30, was arrested and charged the following day in the death of his mother after an autopsy showed the woman had died from "asphyxiation by compression," police said.
No further information on the incident was made available. No bail has been set.
The Middlesex County Prosecutor's office and the Old Bridge Police Department are investigating the incident.
