A woman died on Friday after being struck by a car in Highland Park.
HIGHLAND PARK -- A 70-year-old Monmouth Junction woman has died after being hit by a car on Friday near Raritan and 5th avenues, according to police.
The woman, who was not identified pending notification of her family, was struck by the car at around 9 a.m.
The woman was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Police in the mid-afternoon on Friday said that she had succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the car was identified by police as a man. No further information on him was made available because authorities said he has not been charged in the incident at this time.
