PERTH AMBOY -- Like many, it seems Jolly Ole' Saint Nick even uses Amazon to spread some Christmas cheer.
Santa Claus made a surprise holiday visit Wednesday to kids at a Perth Amboy non-profit with his sleigh, in the form of a 53-foot Amazon truck, stuffed with $20,000 in toys and supplies, including Amazon Fire tablets.
The event was part of Amazon's five-state program to help give back to areas around the company's fulfillment centers.
The online distributor partnered with the Puerto Rican Association for Human Development for the program locally. PRAHD is a non-profit that has provided support for disadvantaged youth in the city since 1974.
Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno and Perth Amboy Mayor Wilda Diaz were on hand at the event.
