OLD BRIDGE -- Police were at the township middle school Wednesday morning investigating an "unconfirmed threat," school officials said.
"There is an active police investigation at Salk School based on unconfirmed threat," the Old Bridge School District's Superintendent David Cittadino said in a tweet at about 10:15 a.m. "There are no injuries & all students are safe."
The investigation was wrapping up at Jonas Salk Middle School around 11 a.m. and students would be released once the investigation was finished, Cittadino said.
Police officials said they had no further information to provide.
