EAST BRUNSWICK -- Police are searching for a 70-year-old township man -- who suffers from memory loss -- last seen on Monday.

Ete Szabo was last seen at around 2:30 a.m. on Monday in his vehicle -- a red 2000 Dodge Ram pickup truck -- near the Route 202 circle, according to a statement from police.

Police responded to a call to assist a motorist, who turned out to be Szabo. However, when police arrived, Szabo told authorities "he was going home," the statement said.

Some time later, Szabo's vehicle was seen crossing the Lincoln Highway Hackensack River Bridge in Jersey City.

Szabo is described as 5 feet 8 inches, 120 lbs. with dirty blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a red flannel shirt and brown pants.

Szabo suffers from memory loss, but "has not been diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia," the statement said.

Anyone with information or has seen Szabo can contact the East Brunswick Police Department at 732-390-6901.
