The baby was critically injured in Tuesday's crash at Carolier Lane and Route 130 North
NORTH BRUNSWICK -- The 6-month-old baby critically injured in a crash Tuesday between a school bus and car was not in a car seat, police said.
The baby was traveling in a Subaru with two other occupants. The driver of the Subaru also remains in serious condition, the statement said.
The other passenger in the Subaru had been listed in critical condition Tuesday evening, but the condition was updated to stable, according to Capt. Brian Hoiberg, of the North Brunswick Police Department.
The crash occurred around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Carolier Lane and Route 130 North.
The driver of the school bus also suffered injuries that officials say are not life-threatening. No students were on the bus at the time, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing, but police believe one of the vehicles entered the intersection improperly, the statement said.
