Police are urging the public to call if they see anything suspicious

NORTH BRUNSWICK-- Police are investigating after several vehicles were pelted with eggs over the last week, the department said in a statement.

Police last week began receiving reports of the vandalism, which appears to be centered in the Hidden Lake neighborhood. In the ensuing days the problem had gotten "progressively worse," with several vehicles hit over the weekend, police said.

Several of those vehicles were parked at the Governor's Point and Willowbrook condominium developments, victims told WABC 7. One woman who called police was told she was the seventy-second person to lodge a complaint about the issue, the station reported.

Police said they are actively investigating the matter and ask that anyone who has seen anything suspicious to call police at 732-247-0922, ext. 420.
