See which four breweries are in the Final Four in our N.J.'s best craft brewery showdown.
The finalists in our N.J.'s best craft brewery showdown are a mix of big names and relative upstarts - just like the Final Four in the NCAA men's basketball tournament.
Our sudsy search began earlier this month, when we asked for nominations. More than 500 nominations were made online and on Twitter, and fans had a week to vote for their favorite brewery.
More than 15,000 votes later, we had our eight semifinalists - the top four vote-getters plus four of my selections. Last week, I visited all eight, sampling, where possible, eight brews at each.
This Saturday and Sunday, I will visit our Final Four - two breweries per day - and then will pick a winner - N.J.'s best craft brewery. The winner will be announced by live stream on nj.com next week.
If you're fan of any of our Final Four, we encourage you to be in attendance when our crew visits, and show your support. Tell us why your favorite brewery should be named the state's best. Check the trip schedule this afternoon.
Here are our four finalists:
Cape May Brewing Co, Lower Township
Demented Brewing, Middlesex
Kane Brewing Co., Ocean Township
Twin Elephant Brewing Co., Chatham Borough
There are 83 craft breweries and brew pubs in New Jersey; which one will end up on top?
