"These hero dogs help people live fuller and richer lives by going above and beyond the call of doggy duty to help them navigate their world," Milk-Bone said in a release.
Fifteen dogs are being recognized by Milk-Bone for making a difference in the world around them in the company's 2017 list of "Dogs Who Changed the World."
And three of those pups - Eggroll, Axle, and Piper - happen to come from New Jersey.
"These hero dogs help people live fuller and richer lives by going above and beyond the call of doggy duty to help them navigate their world," Milk-Bone said in a release, citing its nationwide search.
The dogs all come from Canine Assistants, a group that trains and provides service dogs for people with different abilities, seizure conditions or special needs.
Eggroll, a Golden Retriever-Labrador cross from Summit, gives comfort to pet parent Elizabeth, who lives with epilepsy and can use a special system to call for help in the case of an emergency.
Axle, of Hasbrouck Heights, is another Golden Retriever-Labrador cross who helps kids who are practicing reading and comforts people who are sick and live with different abilities.
Piper, of Spotswood, a Golden Retriever-Labrador cross, helps encourage kids with special needs during horse-riding lessons and also helps comfort pet parent Kate when she has seizures.
More than 2,000 dogs have been placed with people across the country through Canine Assistants.
