Once the sun goes down, the temperature will drop into the mid-40s. But the 18 mph winds (and gusts up to 30 mph) will make it feel like it's in the low 30s.
If you're heading to the Rutgers football game on Saturday, don't get fooled by the sun. When you're figuring out what to wear to High Point Solutions Stadium, pay attention to these two factors -- the temperature and the wind.
KICKOFF WEATHER OUTLOOK
Although the sun is expected to be shining in the sky early in the day, when kickoff time arrives around 3:30 p.m. it will be just partly sunny with temperatures in the upper 40s and windy, according to AccuWeather. Once the sun goes down, the temperature will drop into the mid-40s -- but the 18 mph winds (and gusts up to 30 mph) will make it feel like it's in the low 30s.
WHAT TO WEAR
Our recommendation: Dress in layers. Start with a long-sleeved T-shirt or a thermal shirt, topped with a hooded sweatshirt and a winter jacket. (You can always ditch the winter jacket if you don't need it early on during tailgating. But you might regret not having it later on.) To keep your feet warm, wear heavy socks and thick shoes. (Boots are warmer than sneakers.) Also bring along a pair of light gloves or hand warmers. A scarf and a blanket can't hurt, especially if you're sitting in the upper deck, with the wind whipping.

BLANKETS POLICY
Here's the official rule on blankets and extra jackets during cold weather at High Point Solutions Stadium: "Fans will be able to bring these items into the athletic venues by tossing them over a shoulder or arm. Items that are folded up will have to be opened up in order to gain entry into the athletic venue."
WEATHER FACTOID
