Authorities are investigating an overnight robbery that occurred near the Rutgers University Cook-Douglass campus.
NEW BRUNSWICK -- Authorities are investigating an overnight robbery that occurred near the Rutgers University Cook-Douglass campus, according to a New Brunswick Police Department release.
The victim, who authorities said is affiliated with Rutgers University, was walking near the intersection of Nichol Avenue and Suydam Street at approximately 1:20 a.m. when approached by two suspects, authorities said.
One of the suspects brandished a "BB gun" and demanded the victim's valuables, officials said.
Authorities say the suspects fled the scene in a gold-colored vehicle. Police did not say what items were stolen.
The victim was not injured in the robbery.
A police investigation of the incident is ongoing, authorities said.
