Milltown police discovered a dead deer, recently shot by an arrow and left on the ground in the area of Highland Drive woods and the rail road trestle.
MILLTOWN -- Police are looking for the individuals who illegally killed a deer in the area of Highland Drive and the railroad trestle Tuesday afternoon.
Police said after receiving a report of illegal hunting in the area, officers went to investigate and discovered a dead deer, recently shot by an arrow and left on the ground.
Lt. Chris Johnson said hunting equipment was also found nearby.
The Milltown Police Department and the N.J. Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement Division are conducting the investigation, Johnson said.
