NEW BRUNSWICK -- A handful of firefighters put out a car fire Monday afternoon.
The fire was reported shortly before noon but was fully extinguished by 12:30. The vehicle was parked in front of a house on Howard Street.
Four firefighters from the New Brunswick Fire Department could be seen dousing the 1995 Honda Accord with water. The car's interior and the front end of the vehicle were completely charred.
It appears the fire started under the hood, as a firefighter could be seen popping the hood and then dousing the engine area with water. The rear end of the car also appeared to suffer little to no damage from the fire.
