NEW BRUNSWICK -- A punishing winter storm has already forced the closure of schools in Middlesex County.
The storm dropped nearly three feet of snow in areas of the state, with whipping winds and coastal flooding.
School officials in the following districts announced that they were closing Monday:
- Carteret
- Dunellen
- East Brunswick
- Edison
- Highland Park
- Metuchen
- Middlesex Borough
- Monroe Township
- New Brunswick
- North Brunswick
- Old Bridge
- Perth Amboy
- Piscataway
- Sayreville
- South Amboy
- South Brunswick
- South Plainfield
- South River
- Spotswood
- Woodbridge
