SOUTH AMBOY -- The roller skating rink in South Amboy is closed after the roof collapsed, another victim of this weekend's snow storm.
Police said a section of the Roller Magic rink's roof structure began to give way shortly after noon Tuesday, but the roof collapsed by 3 p.m.
The building is located at North Stevens Avenue and Sixth Street.
Authorities said police received a call shortly after 12 noon that creeking sounds were coming from the roof.
When emergency personnel arrived, they saw a large amount of snow piled up on one section of the roof and the building was evacuated.

Police said gas and electric were turned off at the street.
After emergency personnel got to the area of the roof that suffered the damage, they found multiple support beams were broken and still deteriorating, police said.
The roller rink has been in the borough for many decades.
Police said the building was deemed not structurally sound and will remain so until it is cleared by an architect and engineers.
