A winter storm that was forecast to drop a few inches of snow on the Jersey Shore on Tuesday, brought moderate flooding to some flood-prone areas on Tuesday morning before the snow was expected to start falling.
On Long Beach Island, multiple roadways - including a portion of Long Beach Boulevard and Bay Avenue - were closed to traffic due to flooding during high tide.
Meanwhile, roads throughout the Mystic Island section of Little Egg Harbor Township were also impassable during high tide.
Flooding also reportedly caused problems for motorists throughout coastal Monmouth County, as well as portions of Atlantic and Cape May counties, on Tuesday morning.

Flood warning for Tuesday night
Another round of flooding is likely in some coastal areas Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service, which issued a coastal flood warning for Monmouth and Middlesex counties.
The warning is effective from 7 p.m. Tuesday to midnight.
"Flooding will occur for a few hours around the time of high tide," the weather service said. "High tide on the New Jersey oceanfront occurs between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. this evening. High tide on the back bays, along Delaware Bay and along Arthur Kill occurs later than the high tide on the oceanfront."
Waves on the near-shore waters off Monmouth County will range from 4 to 7 feet, the weather service said, adding that "numerous roads will flood and susceptible structures may sustain additional damage."
Also, additional beach erosion is likely.
"Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be deeper than you think it is," the weather service said in its flood warning. "You will be putting yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly repairs."
