NEW BRUNSWICK -- It appears that jury selection will resume Feb. 17 in the case of Michelle Lodzinski for the alleged murder of of her son Timothy Wiltsey, 5, with the trial to begin when a jury is picked.
Superior Court Judge Dennis Nieves told both sides--Middlesex County Assistant Prosecutors Scott LaMountain and Christie Bevacqua and Lodzinski's attorney, Gerald Krovatin, to be in his courtroom Tuesday to complete any legal matters that need to be finished so they can proceed to the trial on Wednesday.
The trial date was moved from January to Feb. 16 after both sides filed motions that the judge had to rule on. One of those motions, filed by Krovatin, is whether or not to let an Arizona man testify that his former cellmate may have killed Wiltsey in 1991. Nieves promised to rule on all outstanding motions Tuesday.
Lodzinski was indicted in August 2014 for the murder of her son, 23 years after she first reported him missing at a carnival in Sayreville the evening of May 25, 1991. She told police he disappeared when she went to a stand to buy soda.
Wiltsey's remains were found in a marshy area in Raritan Center in Edison 11 months after his disappearance.

In the months and years following Timmy's death, Lodzinski's behavior was puzzling, authorities have said. In addition to changing the story she gave law enforcement several times, she was later arrested twice--once for faking her kidnapping and again in 1997 for stealing from an employer.
