PLAINSBORO -- "The Beauty of Nature," an exhibit of Chinese calligraphy by Randy Yang is on display at the Plainsboro Public Library.
Yang created his works from discarded natural elements including pieces of wood, stone or gourds that he turned into polished surfaces where the inherent shapes and textures become a part of the design.
The exhibit will be on display through Feb. 28 and Yang will be on hand to explain the stories behind the work at a reception on Feb. 13, from noon to 2 p.m. The library's annual Chinese New Year celebration will follow.
The library is located at 9 Van Doren St. Hours are Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Fridays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
